Meaning & Etymology
English, Dutch, Swedish
From the Latin Iacobus, which was from the Greek Ιακωβος (Iakobos), which was from the Hebrew name יַעֲקֹב (Ya'aqov). In the Old Testament Jacob (later called Israel) is the son of Isaac and Rebecca and the father of the twelve founders of the twelve tribes of Israel. He was born holding his twin brother Esau's heel, and his name is explained as meaning "holder of the heel" or "supplanter", because he twice deprived his brother of his rights as the firstborn son (see Genesis 27:36). Uranus · Earth · The Builder
DisciplinedReliablePracticalHardworkingPatientMethodical
Life Path 4 is governed by Uranus — a planet often associated with innovation, originality, and the breaking of existing structures — though the 4 expresses this energy in a paradoxical way: by building the most durable structures imaginable. Where Uranus disrupts from the outside, the 4 restructures from within, creating systems, methods, and foundations so solid that even the most radical changes can stand upon them. The vibration of 4 is the energy of integrity, of mastery through persistence, of the profound satisfaction that comes from doing the work properly. Life Path 4s are the backbone of the numerological family — dependable, exacting, honest to a fault, and deeply committed to building something real.
